5 tips to get rid of clogged toilets

A clogged toilet is a big hassle. How to do? If you don't have a toilet suction cup (also known as a water pluck) and other tools, there are 5 ways to help you quickly unclog the toilet depending on the degree of clogged toilet! Some of these methods are more effective than toilet suction cups.

The first trick to pass the toilet: fill with water and fall from a height

Fill a large bowl with water and pour it into the toilet from as high as possible. In order to make the operation go smoothly, you can first soak with detergent to soften the blockage. This method is suitable for less severe blockages.

Operation method:

1. Pour an appropriate amount of detergent into the toilet, wait for the detergent to enter the clogged toilet, then pour hot water and wait for 5 minutes to soften the blockage.

2. Fill a large basin (or bucket) with water and slam it down the toilet from as high as possible. Use the force to open the toilet.

The second trick to pass the toilet: use a large Coke bottle to make a "toilet suction cup"

Make a beverage bottle into a temporary toilet suction cup and use air pressure to unclog it. This method is suitable for general blockage.

Operation method:

1. Cut a large Coke bottle (about 2 liters/67.6 ounces) about 1/5 off the mouth of the bottle.

2. Align the remaining beverage bottle with the toilet hole, keep pinching and loosening, and repeat this pumping action until it is unclogged.

Note: Make good use of the air pressure in the beverage bottle and fill the bottle with air every time.

The third trick to pass the toilet: use a hose to unclog

Find a hose and try to keep it moving along the S shape of the toilet to clear the blockage.

Operation method:

• Put the hose directly into the toilet and pound it a few times while pouring water.
• Flush the water again, and keep stirring the inside of the toilet along the water until it is unclogged.

The fourth trick to pass the toilet: the toilet brush in a plastic bag

Use the toilet brush wrapped in a plastic bag to directly poke the blockage, and use the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the toilet to unclog the toilet. It is suitable for serious blockages, and many people have used it and found that the effect is good.

Operation method:

1. Wrap the toilet brush with two layers of plastic bags, and tie the plastic bag to the brush rod of the toilet brush. Finally, put a larger plastic bag and fix the plastic bag mouth to the brush rod.

2. Use this toilet brush to brush continuously and quickly in the toilet, press the flush, and the dirt will be flushed down.

3. Press flush again, flush the plastic bag of the toilet brush in the toilet, then wrap the garbage bag in reverse, remove it and throw it away.

Note: The size of the toilet brush wrapped in the plastic bag should be slightly larger than the toilet mouth. Part of the air should be retained inside the plastic bag to increase the pressure of the water. Before brushing the toilet, you can flush the toilet once to make the toilet full. Taking advantage of this water pressure, use the toilet brush to continuously brush the blockage, which is easy to clear.

The 5th trick to pass the toilet: use scotch tape to pass the toilet

The principle is to use the pressure generated by sealing the entire toilet to open up the blockage. It is suitable for serious blockages. Many people who have used toilet suction cups to no avail find this trick better.

Operation method:

1. Open the toilet lid, wipe the water from the edge of the toilet, and cut a large plastic bag (or foam plastic) into the size of the entire toilet lid, the size should just wrap the toilet.

2. Cover the entire toilet with tape again to seal the entire toilet. Check the rim of the toilet to make sure there are no leaks.

3. Press the flush button, when the tape is bulging due to air pressure, quickly press the tape down to use this force to unclog the toilet.

Why do toilets get clogged easily?

The design of the sewer at the bottom of the toilet is generally S-shaped. First, in order to avoid the backflow of odor, and second, it can store a part of the water in the toilet, which is conducive to cleaning. However, when there are hard foreign objects or miscellaneous debris passing through the S-bend, it is easy to cause blockage.

Common foreign objects that cause blockages include hair, leftover soup (greasiness may condense), wet wipes, and more. Therefore, a trash can should be placed next to the toilet at ordinary times, and the messy things such as tissue paper and sanitary napkin should be put in to reduce the possibility of the toilet being blocked.

Prepare at least one toilet tool at home

Just in case, it is best to prepare a tool for flushing the toilet at home, including a toilet suction cup, a pipe strip, a cannon, a pipe dredging agent, etc. Many people have toilet suction cups at home, but duct strips are often more effective and do not take up space, so you may wish to prepare one.
